Ashtabula's Number 1 Nite Club Act has been performing for the past 35 years. The band was formed back in 1970. There were 6 enthusiastic and energetic musicans /performers. They consisted of a guitar player (Paul Bodnar), bass player (Mike Bodnar, Paul's twin),drummer (John G.), lead male singer (Dennis Ford), female singer (Barb Heath), and keyboard player (Rusty Woodburn) all of the Ashtabula County ,Oh. area. Focusing on a variety of music as to appeal and satisfy all audiences. They recorded 2 records, one Side A titled, Pusher Man (anti-drug) , Side B titled ,Better To Sing Flat Than Not At All. The other one was Side A titled, Bullet Proof Vest (Rock), Side B titled, So Here We Are (Pop). They were the house band at the Castaways Nightclub ,Geneva-On-The- Lake, Oh. opening for many big name band such as : Chubby Checker,The Flamingos, Tommy James & The Shondells , Mitch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels, Tiny Tim, Ides Of March, and Frank Sinatra Jr. just to mention a few. They were also the house band for The Cove Nightclub ,Geneva-On-The-Lake, Oh.. They played at The Sunken Bar , Geneva-on-the-Lake ,Pirate's Alley, Ashtabula, Oh. Plus many weddings and other events in the area. They played in various clubs in the West Virginia and Pennsylvania areas also. Through out the years they replaced different members.
In 1977 Paul and Dennis left the band and started another band called Qiana. As Qiana they played at Alexanders, The Gold Fox, Signatures, The Patio Lounge, Frenchys Lounge, all of Ashtabula, Oh., The Wine Press -Painesville, Oh., Pat's Fireside Lounge- Conneaut, Oh., Old Kings Tavern- Kingsville, Oh.. They also played in Erie ,Pa.. They have been the house band at the Swiss Chalet,Geneva-On-The-Lake,Oh.in the summer months since 1985. In 2000 Qiana broke up .That's when Dennis and Paul decided to get Good Question back together. They contacted some of the members and got two of them back. Their strong vocals and harmony with a driving beat are their trademarks. They are well known through out the Lake Erie area. Whether it be at clubs ,weddings , or any other special events you will find these energetic people enjoying themselves as does the crowd of all ages.
Specializing in music from the 50's to the present day , Good Question has a little bit of everything for everyone .From Soul to Motown, Bubble to Rock, if a song was a top 40 hit chances are Good Question has played it at one time or another over the past 35 years. When asked "how long are you going to keep it going?" the band responds "We'll keep playing as long as the people keep coming out and enjoying the music".
